Join us in our weekly service of Morning Prayer, as we honor Saint Benedict of Nursia, a Monastic from the sixth century.  St. Benedict founded twelve communities for monks about 40 miles east of Rome.  His main achievement is his Rule of Life which governs how monks behave.  The rule of Saint Benedict became one of the most influential religious rules in western Christendeom.    For this reason, Benedict is often called the “founder” of western Christian monasticism.  The Reverend Martha Harris will serve as Officiant.

The readings can be downloaded here:  https://www.lectionarypage.net/LesserFF/Jul/Benedict.html
