At Saint Luke, everybody is a minister. We all find our way to serve God and each other. The Reverend Martha L. Harris began serving as Rector on December 1, 2024. Previously, Rev. Harris served as Priest in Charge following her ordination to the priesthood on December 17, 2022. She is joined in leadership by Lynn McCleary, Senior Warden, and Leslie Gebhart, Junior Warden, along with 5 other dedicated parishioners who serve on the Vestry, the governing council of our church.

The Reverend Martha Lester Harris began serving as Rector of Saint Luke, and nearby Saint Paul Episcopal in Columbia on December 1, 2024. She began serving both parishes as Priest in Charge following her ordination to the Sacred Order of Priests by the Rt. Reverend Audrey Scanlan on December 17, 2022.
Reverend Martha graduated from Lancaster Theological Seminary in May 2021, with a Master in Divinity Degree and a Certificate in Anglican Studies from the Stevenson School for Ministry.
Active in lay ministry at Saint James Episcopal Church in Lancaster for many years, she served as Senior Warden and as a member of Vestry when she discerned a call to ordination.
Following a career as an entrepreneur, leadership in economic and community development organizations, state government and non profit organizations, Reverend Martha is delighted to return to Saint Luke where she interned as a seminarian.
Reverend Martha and her husband Randy and daughter Kathryn reside in Lancaster city as does their daughter Amanda Harris Eden, husband the Reverend Chris Eden and their four children.
