Stefan Andre Waligur\, founder of Community of Peace\, an ecumenical religous community in Louisa VA\, has traveled extensively to Taize and incorporates a daily cycle of sung prayer in his community.  He will lead the chants and offer musical accompaniment on the keyboard to enhance your worship experience. \nFind your inner peace during this contemplative service.  When you enter the sanctuary\, pick up a candle to light in memory of a loved one\, or as a focus of your devotional prayer that evening.  We ask that you leave the sanctuary in silence at the end of the service. \nFollowing the service\, join us for a brief reception where you can meet and Br. Stefan and mingle with the other Taize participants.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday February 3\, 2024 at 5 pm for a candlelit service of scripture\, prayer and chants\, based on worship services from the religious community of Taize\, France. \nDouglas Beach\, Minister of Music at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Lancaster\, will play the Taize music on the piano\, and lead the chanting.  Douglas is an accomplished musician of choral\, organ and piano music. \nFind your inner peace during this contemplative service.  When you enter the sanctuary\, pick up a candle to light in memory of a loved one\, or as a focus of your devotional prayer that evening.  We ask that you leave the sanctuary in silence at the end of the service.
