DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to two workshops on Celtic Spirituality:  The Wonder and the Wild led by Brother Stefan Andre Waligur\, a musician/composer and founder of the Community of Peace\, a religious community in Louisa\, VA\, founded on the daily worship practices of the religious community in Taize\, France.  Br. Stefan will bring his experience in Ireland and Scotland\, his abiding love and knowledge of Celtic music and spiritual practices to make these Saturday workshops memorable and inspirational.   A well known retreat leader who offers concerts and workshops on Christian and Celtic Spirituality\, Br. Stefan will lead our monthly Taize worship at 5 pm.

SUMMARY:Taize Worship
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday March 2 \, 2024 at 5 pm for a candlelit service of scripture\, prayer and chants\, based on worship services from the religious community of Taize\, France. \nBr. Stefan Andre Waligur\, founder of Community of Peace\, an ecumenical religous community in Louisa VA\, has traveled extensively to Taize and incorporates a daily cycle of sung prayer in his community.  He will lead the chants and offer musical accompaniment on the keyboard to enhance your worship experience. \nFind your inner peace during this contemplative service.  When you enter the sanctuary\, pick up a candle to light in memory of a loved one\, or as a focus of your devotional prayer that evening.  We ask that you leave the sanctuary in silence at the end of the service. \nFollowing the service\, join us for a brief reception where you can meet and Br. Stefan and mingle with the other Taize participants.
